Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2018 Cabernet Franc Reserve has a nose of mossy tree bark, bay leaves, pencil shavings, and lavender over a core of Morello cherries, red currant jelly, and black raspberries with a touch of unsmoked cigars. The medium to full-bodied palate has serious energy, featuring a firm frame of grainy tannins and lively acidity supporting the intense red fruit and herbal flavors, finishing long and mineral-laced.
